This is a why choose omegaverse standalone romance which pairs a bachelorette type of lottery to pick mates along with a murder mystery. It does not involve shifting but does have some of the elements of shifter romances we all go feral for such as knotting, scent instincts, females going into heat, pack hierarchy (alphas, betas and omegas), submissive but strong females, growly, protective alphas, and fiercely loyal betas. Although the characters seem human for the most part, this series is set in a make-belief world where different social rules apply than the ones we live in.
